RIGHT: For this project we rebuilt the window opening framing to allow for the sleek look of a narrow slider centered in the back wall. We went floor to ceiling with 16x16 tiles and fabricated a handy recess for shampoo and soap bottles.

LEFT: Here is the new deep soaker jet tub we installed (on the same wall show with the window above). Notice we aligned the grout lines of the floor and wall tiles, to give a folding effect, and transitioned to the upper wall with an accenting mosaic listello. The same mosaic punctuated the intersections of the floor tile.

The result is a masterwork of a guest bath. The wall not show features a full mirror from vanity top to ceiling with a mirrored medicine cabinet mounted on the mirror. The new pocket door and shifting the toilet a few inches gives a more roomy feel.

RIGHT: Here is an simple example of using variegated colors of travertine tile to accent the tile banding above and below this generous recess in the shower wall.
